PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

American Health Communities. Charge Nurse. Directs the day-to-day functions of the Aides/Orderlies and other staff being supervised, as well as give direct nursing care to patients. Duties to include conducting and/or monitoring prescribed treatments, such as dressing changes, drawing of blood, catheter changes, NG tube insertion and removal, laboratory work, performing emergency procedures, admissions & discharges, monitoring the facility for possible health and safety hazards, etc., 2023-present.

Los Robles Hospice. RN Case Manager including supervisory role over LVNs and Home Health Aides. Completed an initial, comprehensive and ongoing comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs. Provided a complete physical assessment and history of current and previous illness(es). Developed a care plan that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis and incorporates palliative nursing actions. 3/2022- 11/2023.

The Villa Treatment Center. Psych Nurse in a residential treatment center- hands-on nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to achieve quality outcomes for clients, crisis intervention medication administration, mental & physical assessments, patient education, detox care, implementing verbal physician orders, design and implementation of infection control and safety protocols. 2021-2022.

Walnut Acres Senior Living. Care-taker responsible for vitals, medication administration, personal hygiene, mobility care, corrective exercises, etc. 2020-2021

RehabCare Corp. Wellness Coordinator. Developed & provided structured health promotion, wellness and fitness programming for medically managed populations (i.e. Alzheimer’s Disease) within assisted living facilities to facilitate ADLs and increase the strength, safety, and well-being of the clients and patients. 2019-2020.

The Villa Treatment Center. Wellness Educator & Technician. Patient education class related to nutrition, stress management, exercise, environmental health, and sexual health among others. Also included are technician responsibilities such as medication administration, crisis intervention, wellness rounds, medication administration, and patient advocacy. 2015- 2021.

SC Environments. Served as Wellness Director at a drug treatment facility for college aged youths. Duties included formation and promotion of health education and wellness programs for recovering addicts, medical documentation, mentoring, counseling, career and vocation counseling, nutritional consultation, etc. Director of Emotional IQ program. Also served on the Safety Committee and as the Safety & Infection Control Officers in preparation for JCAHO accreditation. 2006-2018.

California Center for Fitness and Functional Medicine. Owner and independent contractor serving as a Certified Exercise Physiologist, Wellness Instructor, and Physiotherapist. Performed duties in corrective exercise and rehabilitation, electrical modalities, neuromusculoskeletal care, and patient education. Course Instructor for NCCPT, a nationally recognized personal trainer’s certification. Amgen, Inc. Division of Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery. Biochemical Research Associate. Biochemical techniques relating to protein chemistry including HPLC, Gel Electrophoresis, UV-Vis, and protein purification. 1997-1998

UCLA Medical Center- Dept. of Molecular Medicine and Structural Biology. Nuclear Chemist in the synthesis of clinical and experimental radiolabeled pharmaceuticals via the use of an 11.2 MeV cyclotron and chemical processing units. HPLC skills involving research in Fluorine chemistry and pharmaceutical production, including trouble shooting techniques. Familiarity with Gas Chromatography, module design, radio, analytical, and organic chemistry, routine laboratory functions, and quality control. 1991-1997

International Resuscitation Research Center- Research Associate for a division of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Studied ways to limit neural deficits in trauma outcome patients. Functioned in the animal ICU with numerous monitoring and life support techniques such as EKGs, EEGs, blood sampling, polygraph, drug administration, IVs, surgical assisting, sterile techniques, and a host of other physiologic, chemical, and clinical measurements. 1990- 1991.
