The following are mere suggestions for Prepping 101. People’s needs will vary greatly depending on the type of disaster (man-made or natural) and individual plans & resources. Take what you like and leave the rest. I will add to/edit this post periodically.

I To Do List:

  1. Create family passwords to ensure authentic information is transmitted
  2. Ensure important medications are in good supply
  3. Put all important documents & pictures on zip drive with connectors.
  4. Make contingency plans for natural & man-made disasters.
  5. Make health information sheet as needed (alert bracelets)
  6. Remember gas powered generators emit carbon monoxide-keep outside!

Below is a simple still that enables one to drink salt and pool water. One can make their own easily but here is how this one works: Take off the big bowl from the bucket and put the little bowl inside the bucket. Fill the bucket with water but below the level of the small bowl. Now put the big bowl back on top of the bucket. Heat the water. The water boils off, cools on the big bowl lid and drops down into the little bowl as fresh water.
